    Default VX transmission problem

The wife's VX V6 trans is doing some strange stuff at the moment. Just wondering if anyone has had the same or if anyone knows what to fix.
At WOT from standing start, it launches fine but then intermittently feels like it's cutting out or slipping - very jerky. 2nd, 3rd 4th fine.
When cruising at 100km/hr and you try to accelerate, it does the jerky chicken thing all over again. So much so that I end up throwing the boot in and dropping into 3rd to accelerate.
I haven't done a fault code check yet, but want to know if we're up for yet another trans after replacing it 12 months ago. Car has only just clicked over 100,000km's.

    Any idea's??

has the box had a service at all. check the dipstick for your oil level...

precedure is drive car for 20km.
park on a level surface with engine idling
go through all gears then select park. only do this while idling.
let idle for 3 minutes after that
leave engine running, pull the dipstick and check the level.

if ambiant temps are above 32deg or city traffic, or sustained highway speeds alllow to cool for 30 mins before doing the above process

If the fluid level is fine the next step would be to scan it with a Tech2 for trouble codes. If nothing comes up then take the car to a trans shop so they can plug in their real time diagnostic equipment and see what the trans is and isn't doing under load. But check the fluid level first

Fluid level is sweet. Bit pissed that this is the second trans this car has had. I'll drop it off at the trans shop on Friday and get them to plug it in. Cheers for the help.

Not sure if this'll be any help to you but I had the same sort of issue and I couldn't pinpoint what the problem was so I took it to a transmission shop. He ended up charging me an exorbitant amount of money to tell me that I just had to replace the coils. I did that and it pretty much resolved the issue.

I'm sort of having the same sort of issues again but doubt it's the coils again so am going to get the car in for a transmission service. Hope this helps somewhat.

pull the fuse on the BCM and see if that helps.

i had the same problem. I thought it was the gearbox for all money. ended up being the leads. weird i know. but did feel like the box. I was told to load it up. ie, handbrake on ,foot on brake, car in drive and plant it. it missed like a bitch.
