Default Where is the water going

I have a vx and it seems to be going through a lot of water.
It runs on gas and the oil is still clear after 8K and there is no white stuff under the filler cap so its not a head or a head gasket.
    Any ideas.

do a presssure test and check all the hose fittings? Check the resevior to check there is no leaks... Check the radiator for leaks...
There is no such thing as 'What if?'

check your heater tap, and your radiator tanks for cracks around the brackets that hold the fan setup , use a torch and look for stains

Have a look under the bonnet at your heater tap . They get brittle with age , happened to mine it was using heaps of water and i grabbed the heater tap and gave it a gentle pull and it snapped off .

Had a similar problem, VR V6 on gas, turned out it needed a new radiator cap, even though the one on it looked in good condition.
