why dont you take out the boot lining and do it?

So its drilled into the actual lining not the boot

what exactly are you referring to when you say the 'boot lining'? do you mean the mat?

haha. right under the rear window is the parcel shelf. under that there is metal. the boot lining is the second layer of metal on the boot that you were referring to. (boot being the part that moves up and down, rear parcel shelf being further behind that)

ok thanks for the explanations mate. I think it'd be best for me to screw it down on the bootlining, have it sitting up against the rear of the back seats (next the sub itself)

so like you said, it's ok to drill through the bootlining...how long should the screws be would you suggest?

oh you mean that part. well yea behind that part is just foam and padding and what not. nothing to be worried about. small screws would possibly be better.

I don't want to screw it to the actual back seat, but i am sitting it on the boot mat up close to the back seat. lol does this make sence? So yeah, if i screw it down, it'll go thru the boot mat easily and then there is like the metal car frame underneath.

    cheers

Are you talking about the diff hump, and by "boot lining" do you mean carpet?
Be careful, there is a big fuel tank under your boot there somewhere

haha thats where my other amp is but it isnt screwed down. just bolt it to the plyboard. use small bolts so you dont upset the evenness of the boot. thats just a cover for your tyre. just dont bolt into the metal and you'll be safe.
