Hey guys, recently ive been driving... "Spirited" at red lights etc. What i've realised is that, once my car gets to the end of a gear (at about 4,500rpm) it sounds like the engine is spinning too fast? Don't quite know how to explain it. My mates VX series 1 doesnt do this, it keeps on going up until it changes gear. Mine sounds a bit weird, looses some power, then changes gear, and is fine up until about 4,000-4,500 rpm again.

Ideas?

Its a VXII Acclaim with original motor in it. Its done 226,000kms. Service history up until about 160,000 where it was sold to somebody else (no idea how frequently they serviced it, didnt write it in the books), and i bought it at 215,000 and ive been looking after it.
