I read a few of the forums, cant see any hoses that might have come off, but the car was warm so it will have to wait till tomorrow (my partner took it back to her work).
There is absolutely no air coming out of the vents at all, not hot or cold, not top or bottom.
When I try to dial the hot/cold switch from cold to anything else, there is no resistance as if the switch has died. Is that normal if no air is coming out? Also I noticed during winter that when switched to warm there was a metal like smell.
Any one know what the problem is?
Any help appreciated.

I got it working by giving the dashboard a love tap.
The hot/cold/aircon works as expected, however the fan does not move past lvl 1 (the switch can physically move to any position, but the fan only has off or low speed).
Anyone have an idea what it might be? Auto electricians around here have at least a 3 week wait cause of xmas.
Help, pretty plz.
pull off your dash facia around the stereo/cluster and remove the aircon module. vacumm hoses have probably come off. worth a look. takes all of 10 minutes if you've pulled off your dash facia befor![]()
will do ... tyvm
is that the same for the VU? got a similar problem, the fan stopped working whilst out for a drive, but turn the fan switch on, and the air con dial lights up as normal. How hard is it to get to the fan?
