    Default Temp Gauge

Hey guys with a vt series 2 does the temp gauge usually sit just below the halfway mark on the line thats below the middle?

Once my car heats up it just sits on it never moves.

    Thanks

mine does the same, it stays around about there whenever the sensor reads anything between what i think 80-110 degrees only when it starts going over that does it rise and when this happens.. it rises rapidly lol.. I ONLY just changed my radiator today - last wednesday when it was 40 degrees here in melbourne it somehow started a leak in my radiator was strange but after replacing it all is good!

another Q , ive just done my water pump , and at same time i replace thermostat gasket, but reused thermosat (yeah , yeah prob should have replace thermosat at same time) , anyway i find now when on openroads, the temp only sits at just below quarter , not between half of quarter and half like normal , in traffic etc its fine

is it possible thermostat is stuck open?

or could there be other causes

I recon the thermostat is not closing properly, I would be replacing it. I doubt it will correct it's self, but only get worse!
