    Default the Power Button

hello guys! I am new to this forum, and to these cars. I come from a bmw world.
I recently bought the 2001 holden, it is called Lumina SS in my country Middle East, Lebanon.
Anywayz, nxt to the 4l60e stick, there is 2 buttons, Power and Traction control. Now I know whats traction control, but i was wondering wat exactly does the Power button do ?.. is it like a sports button ?.. or is it simply a faster shift process? The reason i am asking is because I know the 4l60e is not the perfect transmission, and i dont wanna ruin it before i get the reinforcement kit.
    Thanks
    RaM

The power on mode will basically hold gears at a higher RPM before changing to the next. It's good when towing a heavy trailer or car
