Default 20" ve gts on a vx calais.

    Hello all,
I bought a set of ve gts 20*8" copies ready to fit to a vx calais. I've been shopping for tyres and have had three quotes with 3 different size tyres. Can anyone help me in choosing the right size tyres for these rims. The 3 sizes were 225-35-20 , 245-30-20 and 235-40-20. Forget about the last size, they were $900 each.20" ve gts on a vx calais.-s_gts_blk.jpg

Definately 225s if your sitting at a height around super lows or lower. The skinnier the tyre the less issues with guard rolling and scrubbing.

I've got 20in VE GTS copies on my VX SS running 245/30's with lowered springs and it only slightly rubs the inside front on full lock..other than that everything else is perfect.
I got quoted $310 per tyre locally but ended up getting them for $200 each, had to drive to the other side of Sydney to get them though but well worth it for how much I saved!
My missus has 20in VE pentagons on her VU with the same tyres on superlow springs and no rubbing issues what so ever..

I have had ultra lows with 225's and it scrubbed on the outside edge guard lip. made a terrible noise when turning into parks etc...
