I have VT Berlina and it keeps over heating. Has had this problem for ages now. The Raditor has been done and the thermostat has been replaced. I had a problem last season where the heater was working but the sir con wasn't so the mechanic cable ties the heater tap to stop the heating. Then stupid me never got around to getting it fixed so during winter I cut the cable tie so I got heating and no air con. Came to this summer and we tried cable tying the heater tap again and it stopped the heating but air con was not working. Then the mechanic bypassed one of the pipes, taking it completely off the heather tap and bypassing it back through the engine. Was working fine, wasn't over heater however air con still wasn't working. Then all of a sudden overheated. The pipe that was bypassed had kinked and cracked so my mate kindly cut it at the kink and put it back on for the mean time. Looks like its about time for me to get off my arse and get it all done. I have been quoted good price for parts but crap prices for labour because apparently its a whole days work including taking out the whole dash.
*Wondering if anyone can tell me around what price I am looking for to get the heater tap replaced????
*Also when I do get it done, what would be the next avenue I would go down if the car keeps overheating????
