Rough idle, GenIII, Surging through revs..

Hey guys need some help plz!! I got a vx ss gen 3, 6 spd, ive recently noticed at the lights the other day it was idling quite irratically and i could feel a roughness through the steering wheel, the tacho doesn't budge but,? also when changing through gears it seems to surge a bit, ( sort of holds back) but if you punch it seems to be ok, and also after driving for say 25kms engine light comes on and then off then back on for few seconds, this whole ordeal only seems to happen when warming up, idles fine when first start up... Anyone please help!!!!

Check the condition of the PVC hoses, especially the rubber joints, they tend to perish with age. Its a common problem.

what about the coolant overflow bottle
