LSD Thud Noise?
I gotta 6sp VT SS And whenever i changed down gear i hear a thud nosie coming from the back of the car.
Could it be the Diff?
What could be the problem? Would just topping it up with some more fluids help ?
I need a general idea of what it could be before i take it to the mecanic so i kinda know if hes rippin me off lol
do you do burnouts in it? thats probably your problem (not bagging you out for doing burnouts i do them all the time just speaking from experience) if so you probably need a new diff centre... basically the answer to the question is yes you probably need a new diff
Nothing major, Put my foot down around a corner sometimes.
The noise is only when i take off from 1st or when im driving slowly and normally in low gears. Pretty much only when i change up from 1st n down from 3rd or 2nd. never happens durin any other gear changes
What is the pricetag on a new diff centre? Would gettin new diff gears be the same?
mate i have a vt ss aswell had the same problem jacked it up put it on stands and found the tail shaft bolts were loose be told its pretty comman just a thought. anyway bought some more nuts and some like tight so now doubled up and hasnt came loose again
