    Default Air con trouble

My aircon has been playing for the past month. When i press the button the green light turns on but it will not engage at all i replace the front panel thinking it may have been the switch that did nothing. can anyone help or possible point me in the right direction.

Have a look at the air cond itself. It might be that its lost its gas compression or the compressor itself is stuffed.

Low gas pressure will not allow the clutch to engage to drive the compressor. Have a look to see if the compressor is rotating when the indicator light is on. Also, is the front fan on?

Mine did the same. At best, it is out of gas. Although, it is probably your compressor is stuffed or the seals on the compressor need changing. I think seals are about $200 and a new compressor is about $300-400. It will be ice cold when fixed though. I freeze when mine is on low, even in summer!
