hey guys in me vt the is a fuel smell every now and then inside, just wondeind if it is a common problem???
yeah i had the same problem mine was the cats were ****ed it was blocked the mesh inside had broken off and covered the pipe hole and it wasnt burning the petrol!!! that might be the problem but not to sure every thing is different since i got the hi flow cats done neva smelt in again
cheak your fule cap might be a stupid thing to say but sometime when there not sealing right the fuel smel can get in side the car by the aerodynamics of the car
have u done any work with audio mounting subs or anything cause ive heard storys where people have drilled holes for screws or bolts and have hit petrol tank without knowing it then vapours coming in the inside of car, just a thought!!!
Had same problem with my vz,changed fuel cap all good.Holden dealer said common problem with seal.

I had a bit of fuel smell in my car, turned out to be the Purge canister was unplugged. Easy to check, run car for couple of minutes, turn off, open fuel cap, if lets out a fair amount of gas (you will know) then canister isn't venting fuel fumes.
