Hi i am new to this site looking for some advise.
im driving a VT s pak S/C V6 it runs really well considering i have no mods other than a high flow cat & a K&N pod, however my problem is
when i take my foot off the gas between 70km - 100km the revs
seem to fluctuate ( hovering ) between 1000rpm's & 1700rpm's.
i have changed both idle & air flow sensors as well as the IAC valve.
and the boy @ holden dealership are puzzled.
can anyone help it would be appreciated.
Thanx

I had a similar problem with my previous car a VS. One of my mates suggested cleaning out the throttle body and it seemed to fix the problem.
Cheers mate i 'll give it a go hopefully it solves the mystery
could it be a problem with the supercharger bypass? just having a stab, but that is another thing i guess that could cause that problem....
i was just wondering if u knew where i could find a cold air intake system for a 3.8l v6 vt executive commodore?
You could be right if the bypass has a slight leak it could couse a vac
witch than could couse the problem.

or maybe in reverse effect, there could be little boost spikes causing the revs to fluctuate....Originally Posted by LYRIC
But wouldn't that couse it to fluctuacte through the whole drive couse only
does it between 70 & 100kmph ???
not necessarily...i believe it is electrically controlled so it could be a problem there.....

yeah, cool...."wisdom is admitting you have none"......
Ok guys i removed the throttle body and the IAC valve gave it a good clean with some carby & injecter cleaner, ( these things do get dirty )
it has helped allot but still doing it a little bit but you can't notice it that much so i guess we are on the right track.
Also FYI i got a spare key cut from MR.Mint cost was $150.00 for 2
and they both work just fine, apposed to Holden charging $240.00 for 1
