Good afternoon my like minded breatheren, I have a question that I desperately need answered.
9 months ago, I bought a gen III VT calais, series 2. It's lowered by the previous owner and has a 2.5" exhaust system the whole way through.
Recently, the axel has been sometimes scratching the exhaust. It only does it sometimes, it does it at random and it does it worse when I drive down hills and go around bends.
It squeaks really bad, at 20+ kph it sounds like scrubbing, but less than 20 kph and there's an audible "squeaaak". It's really embarassing.
Does anyone have any advice, or questions you need to ask to help me find the soloution to this problem? I can't be the only one...
Mine did this when I put a new zorst on. Once we found out what the noise was we did a dodgy and cut where it was hitting and turned the bit we cut out an welded it back on lol.
pretty sure its the same spot
Always In Construction Mode!!!!!![]()
The easiest thing to do would be to loosen the clamps that hold the tail pipe to the front section then lever the exhaust over a bit to give you clearance, then tighten them back up.
