    When you're only after standard replacement cheapies the freight costs eats into it a bit, but standard rotors are $46 each, plus about $8 shipping.

    I have a VX myself, and my rotors on the front of mine were getting tired and worn, to the point that the whole car would shake on braking down a hill.. I had a shop around and the local places around Adelaide were just too expensive. I had a shop on ebay and found that for a pair of slotted vt, vx rotors for the front cost $120 and $35 shipping. They come from Melbourne, not sure on how far away his location is from yours, but ill be happy to give you the link. (mine actually arrived today, very good product, fast shipping, now just to find a detailed turtorial on how to fit them as i want to do it right) I will include a picture of my new rotors aswell.

    That's got nothing to do with rotors being worn... it's to do with float in the bearings, and then that leading to DTV (pad deposits on the rotors).

    * VT means VT-VZ.

    Replacing the rotors seemed to do the job fine, not to mention the increase in stopping power...

    That's well and good, but doesn't mean the rotors were the cause of the problem to begin with, even if changing them fixed the problem. If the hubs are rooted, which is most Commodores with out of warranty distance of them, then eventually the rotors will run out of parallel again, which will lead to DTV again, and you'll have the same problem.

    It really is misunderstood, but rotors do not warp very easily. I would bet my business that 99% of people who complain of 'warped' rotors of this forum, with cars that have sliding calipers, DO NOT have warped rotors. Shudder/vibration/shaking etc. is 99% of the time to do with disc thickness variation (DTV) when the layer of pad material laid down on the rotor is uneven, and leads the the rotor no longer being parallel along it's travel. It only take 10 odd thousands of a inch difference in pad material laid down on the to notice significant shudder and vibration under brakes.

    2 main reasons for DTV is pad deposits laid down by cheap quality pads. Or pad deposits laid by by the rotors having significant run-out, caused by flog out hubs or bearings, or the rotors not being fitted properly.
