Ah yes, those crazy arsed marsupials have claimed another motoring victim.
This time my black VX SS. And having allowed my insurance to lapse am now in the unenviable position of getting the thing fixed. To keep costs down I am going to source parts myself so if anyone has a bonnet, front bar and left hand headlight going cheap then please let me know. Am happy to consider alternative bonnet and front bar (ie Monaro, Clubsport etc) but need to minimise cost. I have looked at aftermarket parts as an alternative but I am aware that some are better than others. I have seen reasonably priced items from Justcomm Auto Salvage in Melbourne. If anyone can recommend their after market front bar copies then please let me know.
I've been quoted both $1,000 and $1,500 from difgferent repairers to fit and paint. I'd have thought that excessive for two pieces but I may be wrong. There is very slight damage to trhe radiator support. I don't think this is a huge concern although it has caused the slightest of damage to the front left quarter. Not really enough to notice unless you knew it was there. The $1,500 dollar job included attention to that.
All comments and suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
Darren
where abouts are you i have a l\h headlight you can have For $90 ,i'm in Nowra Nsw

$1,500 sounds about right for a minor front bingle. Bear in mind they will probably spray the front bar, bonnet, and the two guards which will be a large part of the cost.

Thanks VY ACCLAIM WAGZ, I'm in Northmead, Sydney. Have any of you guys put in the black Altezza style lights. The VX is black so the lights might look pretty good. A pair is about $350 which would make my repairs more expensive but I guess is as good a time as any to try new lights or a new front bar.
I had black altezza's in my VT. They looked alright, but the build quality is nowhere near as good as the Holden unit.
