Hey all,
so I'm a girl but I know more about cars than mos girls but not sonmuch about the electrics. So I bought my car last Jan and after about 6 months the problems started. Got them all fixed or so I thought. But, last summer my air con worked fine, wasn't running out or anything, now it makes a weird wooshing noise whenever turned on and isn't cold. I know all about the fuses but whenever i look at the fuse diagram for where the air con fuse is under my dash, there is not one labeled air con. I just moved to deer park two months ago n towed a trailer and when I connected the trailer the indicators would flash opposite on the trailer to my car, then for some reason my tps was playing up then I got a majorservice done and it was fine, then my power windows sometimes wouldn't go down or up now they're fine and now my indicators will work n flash normal and some othe times they'll just turn on when I indicate but won't flash. Now, I want to get my air con regassed but not if something electrical is wrong because all these hot days are coming up n it's too hot to drive even with the windows down and I'm confused about the indicators..... Someone please help!!!! Sorry for the essay I just wanted to explain in as much detail as possible! Thanksss
I think your BCM is in need of replacing!
Had exactly the same problems in my VY.
OK so I can not answer all your questions as I absolutely hate electrics.
Air Con: it may be in need of a regas if it is not blowing cold air.
Is the clutch pulling in when you hit the Air Con switch?? To check if it is, pull the bonnet and run the engine. Have someone operate the switch while you watch the pulley on the compressor. It should pull in and start spinning when the switch is turned on; if it isn't then you will have to find the fuse (like you aleady have been). It may just be marked as A/C and be located in the engine bay near the battery.
If you do manage to find the fuse and it is or appears to be OK then I would recommend you take the car in for an A/C service
Indicators: There is a good chance that the trailer plug socket on your car has the indicator wires in the opposite sides to where they should be. Or it could also be the same deal on the trailer. Try hitching the trailer up to another car and see if it does the same thing on it; if not then it will be your trailer plug socket either stuffed or wired wrong.
Indicators: Your Flasher can may be on its last legs and in need of replacement by the sounds of it
I hope this helps
