Default VY/VZ Cruise conttrol stalk in VT.

    Hi There,

Does anyone know if the indicator (WITH cruise control) stalk from the VY/VZ will fit a VT ?

The VT one is bulkt carriied over from VR/RS styling and has horrisd buttons.

I much prefer the later ones on the VY/VZ. Has anyone tried to fit a VY/VZ stalk into a VT ?

    Regards & Cheers

    Why VY/VZ?

The VX Series II and WHII will fit, and have the proper twisting cruise control...

Not 100% sure if they'll fit (they should...)

VY/VZ cruise control is identical to VX series II.

It will fit but will require some wiring modifications as the plug is different.

Either that, or you'll have to change over the wiring loom.

But would the new section of cruise/indicator loom fit the existing main wiring loom?

When i was looking for small blade connectors for my VR at the auto shop, the salesperson suggested i use "speaker terminals" which are just the right width. It worked a treat and had lasted without problems right up until i sold the car five years later.

I did the same on my VT, but shortly therefater i wired in some actual stalk wiring plugs off a VY/VZ wreck, from which i'd cut off the plugs. Although a lot of wreckers won't let you do it (unless they keep damaged harneses) some will such as Pick 'N' Payless at Blacktown (western Sydney) which is where i got mine.

Got mine all done this afternoon, instead of cutting plugs off my cars loom we made a little patch harness from the old plug to the new stalk
