WH Statesman V8 AC Problem - Compressor Starting and Stopping

I have a 2000 model 5.7 V8 WH
Over a couple of weeks the AC stopped working.
The AC compressor had started switching on and off -mostly off
The pipes would get cold in the engine bay on the odd occasion the compressor was running

I had it regassed yesterday by a mobile guy. The regass guy said it was almost full anyway

Wonder if it could be a blocked dryer/receiver or a temp sensor?

I am tempted to fit a new dryer receiver and get the whole thing regassed again

Could be a dicky presure switch. The guy who checked the A/C should have replaced the drier and serviced the system.
