Default Help needed on crazy vt wiring for noob!!!

Hi, I have recently bought a 2000 VT series 2 for a good price but i am having problems with the battery getting charge upon a bit of a look i found a wiring loom that looks a bit outta place with a small 3 space fuse box connected to it with MAIN ALT and AM2 on the top so i cracked it onpen to find the space for ALT (what i interperate as alternator) was empty and needing a 80 amp fuse so i bought one whacked it in and in doing this i found that the other side of the fuse doesn't have a wire going to it as well as the other 2 fuses in the box so to me it looks like i have 3 fuses needing 6 wires to be going into the box but i only have 3 is this right or is something up here? the loom runs from about the drivers side strut tower across the top of the firewall and then over to a white and grey plug and then the other problem is the grey plug has been factory blocked and the white plug had 3 red wires coming out of it and they have been cut, i have downloaded the holden vt service cd and cannot find shit about any of this wiring on it i just need to know why it is there and what it is meant to be doing? any help would be much appreciated

    cheers Nick

No idea. if its not in the holden vt wiring diagram, its probably fitted by third party for whatever purpose, nobody will know except maybe the ex-owner of the car. Could be for a roof mounted horn and flashing lights for some charity bash drive or a spot lamp to go roo hunting? I dont know =P

sounds like the fusible links have been er, tampered with.. head to the wreckers and grab a charging loom from there..

The loom has a gm paper on the back with a lot of numbers and things but the numbers 106 are printed in much larger bold so i guess that it's gotta mean something lol
