Sorry guys I'm sure this has been asked a million times but just joined the site and not sure how to navigate it yet.
Just bought my first V8 and well to be honest it's the first time I'm in a car area I know nothing about. Just moved over from Ireland and my last car was a 500 bhp R32 Gtr and it's some what diff from a v8.
I bought a 02 Commodore SXII 5.7 V8 think it is a Gen III I'm looking to find the best oil for it, not be driving it hard it's just for day to day use? Any ideas guys?
Also is there anything else that people think I should do now as no idea of it's previous life?

Another quick question in my gtr the higher the octane the better it preformed, somebody here told me that's not the case with the v8 and it should just be run on the recomened fuel? Is that true? As in I don't need yo spend the money on say bp ultimate?
