VU Ute seat issue

I am needing to fix the drivers seat side plastic panel that has the seat adjuster on it.
The part that gets screwed into the bottom of the seat has cracked and wont screw up.

I was going to glue a couple of washers to either side of the cracked part so that it wont slide slide out when screwed in.

Just wondering as cars can get very hot what is the best glue to use for this, The dealer tried to fix it twice but it is still doing it and I am guessing it is the adhesive they are using as it was fine the last time until there was a hot day.

happened to me mate i just drilled another little hole in the plastic and than zip tied it to under the seat in a few spots works a treat hope that helps

yep,i had same problem and same fix as gav...
