Default VE Walkinshaw scoop on a VT

Heys guy's. Just bought a VE walkinshaw scoop for my VT Clubsport and just got a couple of questions somebody may be able to answer.
Firstly, it covers the windscreen squirters so just wondering if it is easy to cut a hole in thick fibreglass or would it be better to move them?
Also noticed that its got an open grill close to the front which im guessing will fill full of water when it rains. Would it be better to cover the grills from behind or drill some drain holes?
Lastly, I received it with a minor crack at the top. Is it easy to fix?
Got a couple of pics. Let me know what you think.

hey man, its something different ay. But im having a look at the photos, and it just doesnt look right... :/

the sides of the scoop just dont fit in with the smooth curveyness of the rest of the car.
Not sure if you get what i mean by that, but yeah..
It doesnt make the bonnet look nice, to me..

Never the less, it's your car, and what you think looks good, looks good to you.

    To answer your questions:
not sure about the squirters but i would drill 2/3 drain holes for the grills because even if you cover them up, they still look like theyre in a bit of a ditch and if water goes there you'll be driving with 2 puddles of water on your scoop..

Unfortulatly I would have to disagree on putting the walkinshaw scoop on the VT, but thats my opinion.

I for one, actually don't mind the scoop! It's different thats for sure, although I do agree with GR3GA it really needs to be molded to the bonnet to get the full effect :-)

I agree with most of the others above, it doesn't suit the car at all. But at the end of the day, if you like it that's all that matters.

Thanx for your replies, good or bad. It will be getting moulded onto a standard VT bonnet so the original bonnet can be changed back at any time. Wasn't a huge fan of it at first, but I think it will look alright once its moulded, something different anyway.

Shouldnt worry about the crack in the top, fiberglass is easy to work with and very easy to fix even if you have a bumper thats split in 2 halfs its pretty easy to repair so dont stress about that.

Washer jets i would move to just behind the rear edge of the bonnet

Water getting inside could be a problem so you have 2 choices, either seal the vents up from the inside or drill a small drain hole like you said earlier, if your going to drill a hole a small one right in the front center would be your best option.

    Not a massive fan.
But if you want to do it, perhaps try using a newer spoiler too, and even those Vy/Vz GTS kits that are made for the Vt/VX. Just so it doesn't look like its just been slapped on there.

Hey mate, not sure if it would fit, can't see why it wouldn't though, but perhaps you could try getting the plastic plenum cover from a VY, as the washers are in the plenum not the bonnet. I don't know about clearance, maybe some trimming would be required but it's an option that shouldn't be too expensive.

Maybe on a black car, moulded into the bonnet it might hide it better.

you need something like they have on the Mercedes sprinter! where the squirter is on the actual wiper arm itself. that would be probably a easy solution... i dont know if they make after market arms like this for commodores but it would be great if they did!
