hi. my mate stacked his vt v6. and we are trying to see if the engine will still run but it wont turn over at all. the air bags both went off. so im wondering if there is something that cuts out the engine after a crash? and if there is any way to get around it? any help would be great.
If the Airbags went off, must of been quite a impact, anything could be broken and causing it not to kick over. i would be going over everything, check ya codes also.
I think (but don't quote me on this) that it cuts the fuel pump off? Can you hear it pressurise when you turn the key?

You should be able to take out a fuse that controls the airbags, Otherwise check to see if anything is visuably broken, like cables and starter motor etc.
we we wont get the car back on wednesday. the damage it pretty much middle of the front bar. i remember that the k-frame was bent but without having the car here right now its kinda hard to remember the condition. i dont think its just cut out the fule pump coz it wont even try to turn over. im thinking there is like a safety kill switch or something?
Ps my mate recons that when the car hit the tree he was down to about 40 KPH after a blow out and his head didnt even hit the air bag so hopfully its not to damaged.
