Gday all VX traction control where is the fuse ? read the card on the flip down panel couldnt see any mention of it as well as under the bonnet.Trac Off light is on but there is no illumination on the button on the console should the button light up like the power shift button ? Havent pulled the connector off the mod unit yet that will be next to see if that has had pin 27 removed but thought I would check all other points first any help would be appreciated

The traction control button should light up so you should have a blown globe. According to Holden they don't have a part number for that and you have to buy a new switch, around $20. You would probably be able to pull the switch apart and replace the globe if you can find the right one.

No, the light would have nothing to do with your problem.

Is there a fuse or a way to disconect trac control so its never on? its so annoying, even going into 5th gear it comes on sometimes. its annoying turning it off every time i start the car.

If your car is having traction issues in 5th gear I take it thats in the dry wouldnt you like it for when it rains? as your car would be near uncontrolable.

that the thing, it doesnt have trac issues in 5th, but if i hit 5th at pretty high revs, trac control comes on, and there is no way my car has enough power to brake traction in 5th

Im not 100% sure on this but the traction control is linked with the ABS system I cant be bothered to look at mine at the moment but I think theres a fuse for that but thats not much help if you want to have ABS still.
If so you will need to get a ABS module with no traction control built in function or whatever and install it as I said im not 100% sure on this.

Yeah.... because it's so hard to push a button once whenever you get in your car... like putting a seatbelt on... or changing the radio station.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
