Default is it possible to stuff a ECU with a scann tool

hey, this could be a stupid question- but just wondering if it possible to stuff up a ecu with a scann tool if ya don't know what ya doing with it?????
eg- program it to or select (n/a ecotec) settings on the scann tool menu insted of (supercharged) .

the auto elec that linked the ecu and bcm together when i changed to the l67 engine didnt really know what he was doing. when he did it all he put the n/a ecotec memcal in the supercharged ecu for some unknown reason. (i later changed it back to s/c memcal)
but just want to know if you can change the ecu in anyway with the scanner of if it is just not possible. im pretty sure he selected the n/a ecotec on the menu and not s/c

just not sure if i should go pay someone else to do it again or not,

reason im asking is cause it seems a bit to slow/sluggish and i cant figure out why .

oh ok, well its not dead its just sluggish, thought maybe (MAYB) ya could reprogram it to be the same as a n/a ecotec ecu or something and thats where the problem is (was hoping anyway)

    and thanks

not with a standard scantool that an auto elec would have.

choosing n/a option would have absolutly no effect, besides not been able to view data to do with supercharger.

you seem to be having alot of trouble with this. have you driven a stock l67 yet to compare??

uh no thats completely wrong. VTs still run a memcal, with a UV erasable eprom. they cant be wiped electronically. as for the ECU itself, i dont see how you could cause any damage to it

i'll try and get a vid up on you tube and post it on here and see what you's think about it in the way of power and 0-100.

it means that on the black chip in the blue memcal, there is a silver sticker. remove the sticker and youll see a round window. expose that window to UV light, usually with a UV chip eraser, and you can remove the tune off it and burn a new one on
