dose this seem right for a vt l67 or is it a bit slow???????? its all 100% stock apart from a home made bodge cai
YouTube - vt stock l67 supercharged v6. is it normal or slow for a l67??
Looks perfect to me, that's not slow at all for a stock super 6
sweet , thats what i wanted to hear, (sort of) well can stop rooting around with it now anyway, and start doing mods.
think i just spoke to ya on ebay about the xu6 chip??
yeah stock ones should do like 0 -100km in like mid 7s but once u start modin with 10psi pulley, RR's extractors exhaust u will be in the low 5's 0-100km easy.
yeah that looks gd for stock.
Dont bother with the XU6 chip, it wont do much at all. Just save your pennies do the mods you want and get it tuned. Just wen you get it tuned do your homework on the tuner. Your in goldcoast, if you serious bout wanting it to go quick I would recomend talking to Dick @ Dicks Eletronics in Syndey or Scott @ Chip Control in Melbourne. They are 2 of the best in the country for these engines. They might seem far away but people travel alot further to get these 2 blokes to tune there car. Scott flu all the way up here to tune my car and he did that gd a job my mum even noticed the difference. (she dont know alot bout cars lol) I will be test driving car this week wen license is reinstated lol.
Check out l67torque.com there are alot of guys on here that share little secrets you might not know about and answer any question bout thee car. They have been very helpfull to me in the build of my car.
Also blueV8vl - you need to do a little more to them to get them to move that quick. I have a fair bit of stuff on mine and it will only be in the low 5's 0-100km now.
cheers wogstyler. will have a look at that site...... i'll still try the xu6 chip thou, its only $50. but a few people have said its a noticeable difference, not so much with the power( its still an improvement thou) but more with the gear shifting, i've herd it gives firmer, quicker and stronger shifts,
have you had a xu6 chip and try'd it??? or just know from word of mouth.
also from what i've read it depends on who ya get to do it to wether it makes any difference or not. and i havent found anyone say a bad thing about green, everyone seems happy with his work. and as i said $50 is stuff all.
yeah i had 1 in my car and all it did was hold gears a little longer. If anything you might get 5kw from it but i dont really think. Yeah i have read some good things about green on here, must be gd at wat he does.
keep us posted on how your mod progress goes. Need any suggestion/ help just ask, most of the info you will need will be on that forum as it is dedicated to these engines![]()
