hi guys just wondering if sum one has any ideas why my car only gets 430kms to a tank?i have serviced it regularly i have changed all the spark plugs and leads, fuel filter, upgraded to a k&n air filter and thats all the k's i get.would changing the oxygen sensors make a difference?or r there any other sensors i can change that may give me more k's?any help would be great,thanks![]()
could be a number of things causing it, o2 sensors, EGR, vacuum leak, bad fuel.
Is this 430km's city driving or highway???
less timing.... more boost!
im getting ~12.8-13.4l/100kms in my VXII with half half driving. i get about 400kms before i have to fill up. I didnt think this was bad economy? I wonder what other people are getting.
I've test driven with hundreds of people that swear they are the smoothest driver, and they are as rough as guts on the throttle. A throttle graph on the oscilloscope proves why they get bad fuel economy.
Now, if somebody tells me they are a smooth driver, I just can't believe most of them.
You really have to go lightly on the throttle. Take 5 seconds to accelerate to 20km/h, and stay at that throttle until you reach final speed. You don't have to keep up with traffic on takeoff (where most of your fuel is burnt).
It should be easy to get 550km from a tank of 65L (11.8L/100) in the city. I regularly do.
