My Battery leads are loose in my VT and I have the ends to change them, is there anything I need to consider before I start?

For a short term measure you can do the following.

Get a ring pull from a softdrink can, bend it slightly in the middle and slip it in beside the battery terminal. It spaces out the contacts slightly so the current leads will clamp down again.

Did that to a mates car who was too cheap to fix it properly... 2 years later and its going strong :P

Draw a diagram of where leads go before pulling it apart
make sure you have the radio pin if stock head unit, Turn off siren if battery back up alarm, Remove negative lead first, then positive. When refitting fit positive lead first, then negative. Double check where leads goto before reconnecting. Sorry if i have over simplified but i don't know your level of experience
