Hi,
A while ago i installed a VY/VZ HSV Steering Wheel into my VT Commodore. The steering wheel had the audio controls on it, but my car doesnt.
I would like if possible to get them working.
Now i run a after market headunit, which means i would have to run a CAT10 interface (THE CAT)
Now i have the clock spring which came with the VY/VZ steering wheel. Will this fit a VT commodore?
Once the clock spring is in, and the steering controls connected to it. What wiring needs to be done? Is it just connect it to the CAT10 or is there more to it?
From the CAT10 website this is what it shows for the wiring:
HOLDEN VT/VX Confirm the vehicle’s Black/White trace is ground (factory). Connect CAT10 Brown to vehicle Brown.
For Calais, Statesman, Caprice & Monaro V8, ground the vehicle Black/Yellow trace & connect CAT10
Brown to vehicle Brown.
HOLDEN VY/VZ Ground the vehicles Black/Yellow trace and connect CAT10 Brown to vehicle Brown.
Hopefully i havent confused anyone
Thanks
Sean

If you cant get the cat 10 to work you can always destroy the remote that came with your deck and solder from it to the steering wheel controls, lots of work the cat 10 will be better if it can be made to work
