Vx S2 super6 engine for sale worth it?

i got a quote on a complete super6 motor from a wreckers for about $2950 with 6 months warranty is that a good deal in terms of what they go for elsewhere or should i hold out to find a better deal?

3.8 L Supercharged ECOTEC V6 – 171 kW
5.0 L V8 – 179 kW

and yes that price is pretty decent for the motor. although, are you doing a transfer, or do you keep your old motor in that price? if you dont keep motor, thats not a good deal. roughly 2.5k fitted for that motor at my wreckers.

lol. yes, that is true, they do have more power. but, a standard l67 will beat an ls1. you have to remember, a standard l67 is only like, 4-6psi? run 17psi, intercooler and other little things, and even a very good 8 wont stand a chance!! inc. the price of the engine, i got ALOT of other performance parts, it cost me $5,500.00. an ls1 has nothing compared to that, and they are still around 3-4k.
