Hi guys, I am looking at buying a VTII S, supercharged Took it for a drive today a think there might be an issue with the diff, noisy when turning right. I have thrown a piston through my block on my stock VXII exec, would the diffs be compatible? Everything else on the VT is fine and car is neat and has done 160k km what price would be acceptable? I have offered $6000 to which he is erring about.
Any advise would be nice.
Thanks
Would have to change the pinion flange and cut the end off the pinion gear but it should bolt in most vx has 3 bolt flange vt have 4 bolt.
Pinion flanges are swappable easily. Bolt on jobs.
I thought the diff for the L67 was different then the stock Ecotec......
The standard supercharged diff is a high performance.
if you buy the car it gives you a reason to just buy a lsd anyway. They all should have had this instead of a single spinner.
The OP said he had a vx diff going into vt11 so the triangle three bolt from the vx will need to be changed to the round one for the VT. But as I said previously just get a LSD and get the guy to take the price off the purchase price.
Yep plenty of diffs on eBay, he is umming and arring now, offer to buy it now so he will hopefully take it, sounds like a great deal if you can get it for 6k
hey fellaz,
wanna kno if any1 can help i bought a vts2 wagon few months ago about month after i bought it there was this deep clunk in the rear when on hard lock into driveways then last week went for long drive interstate got about 600km pulled into carpark was fine but pulled out and the clunk was much worse n longer. was obviously thinkin diff but when i drove the next day round town was fine, then drove all the way home with minimal trouble any quotes 4 a recon diff or sum troubleshooting would be great.cheers
change the oil in the diff and dont forget to put the additive in for the lsd, it stops shuddering
