    Default VT Calais suspension

Hi peoplle ,i have a 1998 calais which came out optioned with fe2 suspension, can anyone tell me why when my car is running and i put it into gear the rear end goes down about 20mm and when you put it back into park it goes back up again.
The reason i am trying to find out is with the fe2 suspension the car sat at a good hieght (i have hsv sv99 18x8s rims) aparently its about stage one 30mm down on normal but there is a gap in the front arch so the local suspension fellas lowerd the front to ssl witch i think is down another 30mm and it looks great,so what happens when the motor is running and in gear front and rear archers are sitting level with top of the tyres with just a touch of rake, but when you park it and turn her off the rear goes back up about 20mms,so say if its parked in a driveway the rear looks a fraction high...so i was just wandering why is it so.
Will gets some pics up this weekend
    Thanks alot Fozzil

Can you have a look under your car at the rear? It sounds like you have airbags or something.

It is normal for an automatic car to dip at the rear when you put it into drive and lift when you put it in reverse, if you have your foot on the brake. If it is idling a little high this will increase the amount it dips or lifts.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
