currently i have a vt ecotec with what i believe it a getrag 260 5 speed, just interested in the things i had to do to replace and change to be able to put a 5ltr (preferrably the vt version) into my VT V6. (If you could put it in a list of what needs doing)

Also can the trans handle the 8 if an adapter plate was available?
(as i heard its basically the same as the vt v8 trans apart from first gear, correct me if im wrong)
