    Cool VT pully wheel -how hard do you pull a pully

    am taking out the water pump on my vt v6 series II exec and need to pull off the idler pully to to get the last nut off the pump.
    Nut was very hard to remove.......
    attual pully wheel.... any way I try to lever it from behind feels like its gunna do damage!!
    any tricks, have drowned it in WD already.................hmmmm no silly little grub screws behind there is there.......might go have a feel.....no...nothing arousing

    Help !!!!

    It should just slide off but is probably corroded on there. Try and lever it off from 2 opposite sides at the one time.

    Yeah I think you are right, must be corroded on very tight, will use the tap wiggle and lever method for a bit, am worried i will buckle the wheel if i use too much force.....thanks

    WoooHooo! Tap, tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap, wiggle.... it came off, just needed a higher balance of taps to wiggles ratio.

    Well done. Give the shaft a good clean and apply some grease so it is easier next time you need to replace the pulley.
