I know this may have been covered before but I couldn't find it but I have a '01' VX Berlina LS1 and I noticed there is a pipe that loops from the drivers side then back in front of the lower part of the radiator.
Can anyone tell me what this is for as it has a bit of rust on it (scalley/flakey rust) and am a little bit worried about it and was wondering if I should install a cooler there to replace the rusty pipe.and if so can anyone recomend a cooler to install.

It's the power steering cooler believe it or not. Anything is better than that. A small trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator is a good idea and break away the stock cooler lines while you are at it. Might pay to cut off the dipstick on the power steering resovouir cap as well as they can melt and go thought the system under extreme circumstances

Geesus, it gets that hot - hot enough to melt plastic?
never heard that before?
Sweet as mate thanks for that. I'll get a cooler for it soon.
