    Default irs

    just woundering if it is true / possible to put torana or bmw irs into my 97 vt. and if work is needed?

    any replys will be very apreciated

    torana irs? hmm... i thought they had live axles but i must have been mistaken.

    i want my vt low. eg it is at stock standard 4wd height atm. i was told the lj torana is the right ones. but am looking into it before i buy them oblivously

    yer im not to farmiliar, i was just told the irs out of the lj torana was the ones i wanted, just tryen to ask aroudn to see what people know...

    how low does super lows take it down to?

    Yes just springs you mean. If you want to go superlow you will need shortened shocks and a 4 point camber kit in my opinion. I have super lows on my VT wagon with 18's and im tuckin tyre.

    Yes thats correct lj torana and some bmw springs do fit. I know from experiance that torana springs will sit extremely low, eg about 30mm higher than no springs at all. Not sure about the bmw springs tho. You will chew through tyres about once a week with about 5 degrees of camber on rear

    Spot on, which is why you shouldn't dump the rear of an IRS Commodore so much. The suspension/driveline damage could be much more costly though.
