Release the bonnet, then use the remote central locking to lock teh car, then open the bonnet. If the alarm goes off you have one. I found out that way.. the hard way.... P

just look for the switches under the bonnet that set it off or open the boot or doors with the key not the remote. scared the @#$% out of me.

Ss doesn't come standard with factory alarm. I have a vt series ii ss (original) and it only has deadlocking
