Default vt II executive or vx ss II

Hello i m new to this forum and not up to date with commodores lately atm I've got a supra but looking to go back to holden as i used to have a 5L but i've havent kept up to date with the commo's I'm looking at two cars

1st one is a VT II executive with a 5.7L 6 speed with a 195000km's for about $8500 just wondering how good the earlier 5.7L is compared to the VX 5.7L and if these motors with higher k's are ok or not worth looking at

2nd one is a 02 VX SS II 6 speed with 110000km's for about $14500

the idea is if I bought the VT to used the saved money to buy a supercharger kit and exhaust ect... would this be a waste of time considering the k's on it or am i better off buying the vx SS?? any help would be great also any modification advice would be great cheers

Zont, think about it. 200,000k and you want to shove a supercharger on it. Good luck with that. Buy the VX.

    Hi Mate,

Even discounting the K's, the vxII is a much better car, an SS even more so. Just make sure to get all the proper checks done before buying, even with low K's parts wear out with time.

on cold start up look out for piston slap and rear main seal leaks dodgy clutch and check if the gearbox is still fairly tight and get service history
