air con??

took my sons vt to the air con guy to see why the air con had stoped working.
he said that the compresdor was leaking and the condenser (front of the radiator was blocked)
now the air was working and cold until about a weak ago when it started to deteriorate slowly.
i except the comp has died or leaked and needs replacing but does the condenser really block up?

i ask because about a month ago i took my vx in to get the air regassed and they ring me up saying the compressor is dead and i need a new one $750.
i replied it was working when i bought it in so he should have another look at it.
i picked it up later that day and he said it was waorking but not as well as it should
is this just more lies ???? as its working great scince the regas and seems cold even in this hot weather.

If it is the same air"con" guy, I'd get a second opinion.
