VT Berlina Rough Idle

Hey guys,
Just got my car back from a service (had front + back bushes changed, new engine mounts etc) and upon starup and idle the car seems to be really violent in the idle (ie. lots of shaking, i can feel the whole car sort of rock side to side), was never this bad before and the engine mounts were absolutely shot at the time. Any suggestions?

i have the same issue after the engine mounts were replaced. my mechanic just say it's probably because it can now move while before it couldn't

my car has done 272k though. how much has yours done?

did you get your car back to the mechanic? what did he say?

maybe the mechanic didn't fit the engine mounts correctly?
even a seriesI v6 wouldn't move around like it sounds like yours does. Doubt it has anything to do with new engine mounts allowing the engine to 'move around'?!It would have moved around more with the busted mounts!

is it even possible for the engine mounts to be installed incorrectly at all? i thought they're straight forward job?

is it easy to tell if they're mounted correctly by just looking at it? what do i look for?
