after what mods would you put a cam in and what extent will it gain power on a n/a motor? is it worth it?
4.2 stroker with a gt3582r matched to a high lift cam that is dialled in nicely for the turbo![]()
what if i dont want to go turbs right now, would it be worth to get it stroked then turbo it later when im off my p's also is it legal to drive it stroked? on p's that is
nah bro you cant but whos going to see it? the cops class a pod filter as a mod lmao
While I don't encourage P and L platers modding thier cars illegally, it brings a smile to my face thinking of cops ripping the heads of a car and measuring the bore size to see if its stroked.

yeah mate while you are on your p's get the supporting mods done that arnt illegal then when you are off them bolt the turbo on. 4.2 nobody would ever know but it wont make a huge amount of power by itself, nor will a cam.
Better tell your insurance company of any mods you do!......you ARE insured, arn't you??
yeah bro i am thats another thing why i dont want to do cuz it will go up for sureso what you advise to get a second hand motor get it recondition and then work on that motor till i get my full licence so then they gives me 4 years to go full hard on just the motor??????
Why bother having a modded motor sitting in the yard for 4 years? Wait 4 years while saving up, by then you could probably pick up a LS3 for the price of a LS1 now, then go for gold.

nah get the stuff done that they cant see now, like building the motor on the inside, then when your off you p's include the forced inductioni dont see why if you were ever in an accident the insurance company would even open the motor to have a look, then measure the crank and go nope sorry it a stroker i can see a different throw compared to a standard motor.lol. just have the insurance that if anything did happen you could buy the wreck and keep your motor
