Power window switch faulty???

Hi guys, I have new (2nd hand) a series 2 vt and the rear drivers window will not go up or down. the front swich between the seats seems very loose ie the button goes up and down too easy tho all the rest of them are fine.
window does not go up or down for the rear door swich either and this swith seems fine.

I presume I need to replace the front swich, but wouldnt the window work of the rear switch if this was the problem?

any help would be very appreciated

I know the rear switches don't work if the main switch is disconnected, so the problem with your main switch could be affecting the rear switch.
