Hi there
I have 98 vt commodore i just installed 70mm throttle body and cleaned maf sensor with maf cleaner
Now my car is over heating???????
Please if anyone can suggest anything?????![]()
Overheating.... can't think of anything related to the throttle body that would cause that, except if you've effected the mixture and it's running mega lean. Is it pinging?
Have you checked the basics? ie coolant and oil?

Yeh i have top it up bleed the air out and put the heater on
Effected the mixture??? can a larger throttle body do that???
I was driving all morning all was fine but when i fitted larger throttle body the engine tem was getting higner than normal
Checked the oil looks good no traces of water
Not pinging
easy cheap fix no tune needed take off the rubber pipe in front of throttle body. rap gappa tape around the TB until it closes off about 10mm of the intake hole. now you have 60mm of intake the problem should be fixed and you still have the wank value of a 70mm TB. and the added bonus of knowing more than all of GM's engineers. :{
