New key

on my old keys the buttons are missing, well the cover on the actual button is missing, i just have to shove my nail in , to get it working.

was onto holden and its $75 per key and 50 to reprogram it to my car for the central locking.

is there anywhere where i can just get a new cover or is holden my only option?!!

A lot of locksmith shops sell them. I think I paid about $80 programmed . Shop around for the best price. You can get them fairly cheap on ebay but you still need to get it programmed. Once again shop around for a programming price, even Holden dealers vary in the price they charge.

Go to Mister minit.
They charge $109 for a new key cut. It only takes 15minutes.
Your cuurent key must be working though.
Moisture would of got into the key already so just get a new one.

you can get covers for about $20 on ebay... or since im lazy, i pulled out all the plastic around the buttons, put a little sticky tape over the buttons and filled the hole with black silicon, wet the finger, smooth it off and let set.. bewdiful

You are better off just getting a new key instead of stuffing around with this one. It will help you in the
long run.
If the current key fails then you are stuck and will HAVE to go to holden. Probably have to get towed there. More $$$$
In order to copy the commodore key it must be in working condition.

be interesting to see how long it lasts.. iv seen a couple come through work that haven lasted more then a year
