Exclamation Help with VX front bumper?

Hey guys I need a bit of help. I went to drop my missus' sister off at work this morning and long story short my front bumper got stuck on this prick of driveway. Instead of causing more damage I reversed out which has seems to pull the whole bottom forward

I had a quick look before work and its closed the gap so I can't open the bonnet. What's my best go for fixing it without any major damage, if its not already done?

Just try and push it back into place , undo the screws at each side of the bar near the wheels and push it forward and it should pop back into place .It just clips on and the screws hold it in place .

yea unfortunatly the damage is done. genuine bumpers dont have a memory and are hard to bend back.

it will never be the same and line up properly.

if your picky like me then your up for a new bumper. otherwise youll get it close to what it was.

well actually, if your smart, you will pop big washers under the screws there and as you screw them back in the pressure on the washers will transfer to the plastic of the spoiler, making it almost flat again

no they dont, and if you read properly he only scraped it on a drive way, not hit a bloody roo, i should know it can be fixed to just about new the way i suggested(using metal, not plastic washers) as ive had to do it to my own car.......

do you wear glasses? if not i suggest you have your eyes checked.
HE BENT IT UPWARD the washers will hold it yes... but the plastic bends because they are holding it.

they also come standard with big METAL washers. YOU CANT REMOVE THE WASHERS FROM THE SCREWS

go double check if in doubt.

OMFG what a Warrnambool WANKER they do not come with BIG washers on the screws....... uhhh and obviously mine also got bent upwards if the same thing happened to mine as it did his.... anyways, enough with you **insert face palm here**

abclarke, IF there is a crease in the plastic of the bumper(under the bonnet) try what i suggested, if that doesnt work, take the spoiler off, get a mate to help and heat the plastic(where the crease is) and with 2 flat metal plates gently flatten the crease again.

Yeah sometimes u can get away with it. Its never the same though. People might not see the difference but its always in the back of your mind the damage is there.

You couldn't tell the difference from the outside but then I hit a kangaroo and that kinda put the last nail in it's coffin. I liked that car - the only one I have ever bought new and made $$$ on

I had a wombat help me remove mine.I managed to fix it but the clips either side of the bar near the indicators have both snapped off and it doesn't line up with the front guard properly. Holden don't sell the clips as they are heat welded to the bar .

Not sure about the Clubby but there should be a couple of screws on the sides of the bar near the front wheels. Then have a look where it screws to the body under the bonnet .
