    Default VT dash buttons

A load of buttons in my VT have blown globes and don't illuminate at night - hazards, foglights, power, traction, childlock and both rear window switches (on the rear doors).
Are the globes easy and/or cheap to replace or will I have to buy whole new switches??

visit the wreckers... and search a few vt's..onwards models..
    you find some...
    however...
you need to work out why your stuff blew...more importantly...
globes and fuses blow from jolts in the volts !
so something is wrong somewhere m8
    also check the relays
    also check the relays fuses..
check and clean the battery terminals !
check and clean contact points on the alternator !
check all your earth straps !
dont be affraid to add new bigger earth straps where ever...bad earth is the cause of car computer issues and back voltage always...

    Hope this helps dude

    Thanks for the advice gentlemen.
They were blown when I bought the car and so were all of the lights in the climate control unit and mode buttons (which i've since fitted new globes for).

definately don't want it happening again but it seems like a common VT/VX problem??

I have a few globes needing replacement too. Holden wanted like $9 for a the globes for the dash buttons. Rear window switches you can't buy replacement globes for, only the whole switch unit. Took the globe into holden and the guy looked at me like a stunned mullet and said he'd never seen one in his life.

Try ACDelco in Welshpool. They were like $25 cheaper than Holden on the window switch (although still more than I'm willing to pay when I just need a globe). I'd assume they'll be cheaper on the dash globes too.
