    Default misfire problem? maybe?

hey, just recently noticed (actually about a couple of months ago) that if im sitting at a set of lights, then plant my foot down, the car sort of misses a beat, like it blurts a couple of times, then shoots off.

the coilpack and spark plugs have been changed, so just wondering why it would only do it at sudden acceleration from a stopped position?

    any help appreciated

Hmm.. Why only from stop ? Heavy loads.

I'm thinking TPS or vaccuum leak.

to check the tps get a volt meter and probe the blue signal wire on the tps with the + probe and probe the the blackyw (im pretty sure) with the - probe. with ignition on closed throttle should be .5 volts or there abouts and full throttle should be 4.5.....if not in this range turf the piece of CARP!!!!

give the throttle body a clean out paying attention to the idle speed motor area. has ports there that choke up a bit. also make sure u have a gasket between the throttle body and plenum.
also replace the fule filter every 20k km or so.

    Default missfire

im having the same trouble but it comes in and out as im accelerating, i put the mace manifold insulator on and changed the spark plugs to bosch platnum/iridium (Suggested by supercheap auto) But someone mentioned a vacum leak? Those crappy plastic pipes connecting to both sides of the air manifold one broke and is held together by tape atm. That would suck in air that is not going through the throttle body and MAF. Could that be the main problem?

    I'm having the same problem,

I'm thinking its an injector because it runs perfect on gas.
