ok just had to go out so i used my 99 VT for the first time today she started fine, was a little jerky backing out of the drive way, didnt think much off it . threw her into drive and drove of normally about 50m down the road it felt like it was choking ..the revs died right down the arse end of the car lifted up and dropped and she almost stalled, the power train light came on to but only stayed on for about 15 seconds
any ideas anyone ?
Check for fault codes. If you don't know how, do a search, it has been discussed many times.

12 Satisfactory operation
so whats going on with my car ??????
accprding to the pdf that was on the link, you seem to have fault codes in the memory, or that there are no faults, 6,7,8 in the manual that AirStrike did, you might need to go pay holden a visit?

i might have to go to holden there is a problem with the car thats for sure...im hopeing its just maybe a transmission service i need. a 3rd year apprentice i know said it could be the gearbox doing it..but i thought that would come up in a error code ????
it might come up but if there is a problem w/ the error codes then it wouldnt come up.

just had it checked out...its my transmission ...something about the belts in there need tightening
are you going to do it yourself? or get holden to fix it?

wont be going to Holden...why pay more then the job is worth for a 16 year old first year apprentice to destroy my transmission..lol...
i have a good reliable mechanic here in the town i live in ..ill be going to him
as for doing it myself....well lets just say if i was to insert my own ciggy lighter id probably blow the car up lol...i suck when it comes to mechanics
haha that is very true lol, sad but true, it is good to have reliable mechanics, they are a rare breed (sorry to all those on here that are good mechanics, but i know a lot of bad ones.), i use to be that bad but having no money means that you have to do alot of DIY

something about tightening a belt to do with transmission? what the?..
Did your car feel like its idling really rough? It could be your ignition leads, spark plugs or coil packs need replacing. I'd get that checked out first as its cheaper than overhauling your transmission.
